Merry Christmas and Great Success in 2008
From all the Team at Human Equity

Supporting our Community and Environment

This season, the Human Equity Team are contributing to both our environment and our community.

In addition to considering our environment by sending this electronic message rather than hundreds of cards, the money that would normally have been spent on cards and gifts has been donated to Beyond Blue, a very worthy cause.

Male Depression - One in six men experience depression at any given time but most don't seek help.

We are proud to specifically support, at Christmas 2007, Beyond Blue - the national depression initiative.

Thoughts to Reflect on Over the Holidays

"Leadership is not a thought, it is an action". - David

One of my favourite quotes: "Whether you think you can or you think you can't, either way you are right"; so how about you tackle that one thing you would love to do but for some reason think you can't....get stuck into it and who know what will happen. Please let me know how you go! - Florence

Christmas is the perfect time to re-charge your batteries after a busy working year. Take time to enjoy a bush walk (or two) with friends and family. I can recommend a fantastic book to assist Sydney-siders in finding some great local walking tracks; Sydney's Best Harbour & Coastal Walks. [click here for all other cities]. - Vikki

According to Chinese Numerology 8 is auspicious so 2008 should be a great year. The Chinese believe that if you are at the bottom, the only way for you to go is up. So 8 stands for potential and for growth: a change from bad luck to good luck. Eight also stands for the 8 tri grams (bagua) – an auspicious symbol of transformation.

With regard to change I saw this proverb a few years ago and it really hit home, "if you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got". Do something different in 2008 and see what happens. - Joy

Take an hour out each day to "think" - diarise this hour every day as your quiet time to think about your business. Is your business on track and looking forward; what is going well; what needs to change and improve; what can you do differently to maintain your competitive edge and improve your bottom line.   Remember - "What a wise man does in the beginning, fools do at the end". - Lilian

Take a moment to appreciate time spent with family and friends over the festive period and tell them so. There will be many people who will spend time thinking of those they can't be with. - Julie

"Many things in life will catch your eye but few will catch your heart... Pursue those" - Kate

The joy of giving....I believe one of the best things of Christmas is the lead up to it. At the moment my home is filled with wrapping paper, ribbons, sticky tape, glue, more wrapping paper and scissors. My kids are frantically wrapping and making presents for everyone they know as well as for all the people they don't know.... How wonderful is the joy of giving....  - Daphne
